Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara has an enormous soda lake full of flamingos and more than 400 species of birds. That is why Lake Manyara is such a great spot for bird watching. But you will be able to encounter many more inhabitants in this park, such as elephants, gazelles, hippos and giraffes.
There is an excellent hippo spotting site at the hippo pond and if you are lucky, you can see the tree climbing lions. It is also a perfect place to see the Great Rift Valley. It was formed by geographical upwelling. It’s a 400-meter-high rift which runs down the eastern side of Africa.
